DESCRIPTION:Lieutenant Colonel Hernandez brings a strong academic and professional background to his new role. He holds a Master&#8217\;s in Criminal Justice from California Coast University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Pace University. His extensive military education includes various leadership and operational courses. His career highlights include commanding multiple units\, deploying to Afghanistan\, and holding several staff positions to include S1\, SPO. His military awards include the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal\, among others. In his civilian roles\, he is a lieutenant with the Riverside Sheriff&#8217\;s Office\, overseeing the Riverside Court West Division and currently is Patrol Watch Commander for the Moreno Valley Station. He resides in Winchester\, CA\, with his two young adult children\, Daniel Jr. and Gabriel.
